Job description
As a Business Development Specialist with a primary focus on B2B clients, you will play a pivotal role in driving Wedo's growth. Your responsibilities include identifying, engaging, and securing strategic business opportunities. Your goal is to generate new leads, identify opportunities, follow up on new business prospects, close deals, and drive sustainable financial growth. This involves boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients within the target sector. Additionally, Your role will involve collaborating with clients, subject matter experts, and internal teams to identify learning needs and develop effective learning solutions
Job Details:
- Reporting to: Head of business development
- Duration: Full time - 3 months’ probation period
- Location: Erbil and Baghdad
- Working Hours/days: 8 hours per day, Sunday – Thursday
- Work Arrangement: office-based possibility to travel across Iraq
Responsibilities
- New Client Acquisition: Actively research and target potential business, corporates and partners that align with Wedo’s service offerings and growth objectives.
- Deal Negotiation & Closure: Lead negotiations and finalize agreements with prospective acquisitions, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and sustained revenue streams.
- Proposal Writing: Develop and write winning proposals, incorporating client requirements, project objectives, and proposed solutions. Ensure proposals are compelling, persuasive, and tailored to meet the needs of potential clients.
- Strategic Market Analysis: Identify emerging market trends, growth areas, and potential client needs within the sector and domain of Wedo services.
- Business Planning: Develop comprehensive business plans, including feasibility studies and project roll-out strategies tailored to potential acquisitions.
- Client Relationship Management: Strengthen relationships with existing clients and establish new partnerships through effective networking and outreach initiatives.
- Sales: Collaborate with the marketing team to refine sales strategies that resonate with targeted segments. Demonstrate strong sales skills, including effective negotiation, contract finalization, and securing new B2B business.
- Competitor Analysis: Conduct thorough market and competitor analyses.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, and senior management teams to align business development strategies with organizational goals.
- Industry Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of Wedo’s services, value proposition, and industry-specific nuances to effectively engage with potential clients.
- Special Projects: Undertake specific assignments and projects as directed by the management or executive leadership to support strategic initiatives.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of activities, progress, and reports.
- Presentations and Negotiation: Deliver compelling presentations to potential clients, effectively articulating the value proposition and benefits of our Wedo’s services. Negotiate terms, pricing, and contract details to secure new deals.
- Networking and Industry Engagement: Attend industry conferences, seminars, and events to expand professional networks, build brand awareness, and stay informed about industry trends. Engage in thought leadership activities such as speaking engagements or publishing articles to establish credibility and attract potential clients.
Skills & Qualifications
- Sales Acumen: Proven track record in B2B sales with a focus on strategic relationship building is a must.
- Analytical Skills and Strategic Insights: Ability to assess market trends, analyze data, and provide actionable recommendations for B2B improvement
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in business development, documentation, and reporting to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Adaptability: Flexible and open to change, with the ability to adjust strategies and approaches based on client needs.
- Continuous Learning: Passion for staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in learning and development.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with integrated business management tools, CRM software, and digital solutions relevant to the consulting industry is a must.
- Relationship Building: Strong ability to foster and maintain client relationships, coupled with exceptional networking skills within the consultancy sector.
- Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated competency in negotiating and finalizing business agreements and contracts in English, Arabic and Kurdish are essential.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to articulate complex ideas and proposals effectively.
